Untitled Poetry

January 10th

I am not a poet; but I have recently been inundated by poetry. The words are not easy for me to read. I sometimes cheat and use ChatGPT. Sometimes, the words give me a warm hug, and it all makes sense.

This poem was written today; it might not be any good to others, but I am so proud of it. My words can have meaning; and I love sharing them with the world.

You are the illusion I see in front of me.

Neither good nor bad.

The ghost I try to press against.

Fooling myself you are tree.

There is no tree.

Just me. Alone.

Looking for the illusion I thought I saw.

Am I crazy. I swear you were real.

And now I dip my toe in a river.

It feels warms and safe.

But only a fool would think a river could feel that way.

Only a fool would jump into a rushing river.

I hold my breath. Splash.
